4. iConnect Peer

iConnect Peering™ is a new service that runs completely outside of the iWebGate Ghost Network Platform.

The iWebGate Ghost Network Platform includes the VLAN Broker Service at its core. The VLAN Peer is a user friendly, Windows based application that interacts with the VLAN Broker Service to make the administration of virtual local area networks (VLANs) over multi peer-to-peer (MP2P) connections much easier to understand and to get started.

iConnect Peering™ is a zero-config, remote access solution similar to VPN and requiring nothing more than a Broker Server, installing the software and creating your VLAN networks though very simple Peer management. There is no need to adjust any settings to firewalls including simple NAT firewalls.

iConnect Peering™ is a foundation product that while initially only providing the ability to configure Peer Instances for VLAN/MP2P, future developments will strive to include:

  • VLAN and Peer Browsing
  • P2P chat & VOIP
  • Application Sharing
  • Automatic Remote Desktop Access (RDP & VNC)
  • File and Folder Sharing
  • Online Conferencing and Meetings
  • WebDAV Management
  • Automatic Application Launching Using Web-Delivered Configurations (iConnect Bridge)

All out of a single system-tray icon and without the need to join third-party, web-based providers. Users control everything without the need to rely on network administrators and are free to invite as many users as they wish.

5. iWebGate WebDAV Agent

WebDAV, is a set of extensions to the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) that allows computer-users to edit and manage files collaboratively on remote. In other words, users can work directly on files stored in your iWebGate environment or mounted to your Windows File Shares without needing to:

  • Install or use a FTP client

  • Manually download the file, save changes locally to then upload the file (WebDAV automates the process

Microsoft systems tend to forget WebDAV user password upon re-boot so we have developed a small WebDAV agent that works with Vista and Windows 7. Windows XP users are encouraged to use something like NetDrive (see below).

6. iWebGate Data Agent (iDA)

The iDA is a specific Windows-based tool used in the Business Intelligence (BI) reporting services. It plays an integral role in allowing information to be collected from multiple data sources found in local AND remote networks.

Other Recommended Downloads:

NetDrive develops a WebDAV client that comes in handy - especially for Windows XP users.

Once you mount the local drive, you don't need to run an application or an FTP client interface but a simple drag-and-drop in your Windows Explorer will be sufficient to transfer and manage files
